About Web Design Day

2013 marks the fifth Web Design Day. Five! We’re so excited! Starting in 2009, this event has aimed to bring the best of Web Design to Pittsburgh in a fun, intimate and affordable event. Organized by G. Jason & Val Head of Refresh Pittsburgh and Viewsource events, Web Design Day is designed to encourage the wonderful community of folks from Pittsburgh and beyond who work to make the web a better place. Submit A Session

Do you have a session you think would be a perfect fit for Web Design Day this year? We want to know! Most of our speaking slots are filled by invitation, but we fill one or two spots with the sessions we receive from the call for speakers. We’ve found some wonderful new session ideas and speakers this way.

We are also looking for submissions for this year’s lightning talks. Lightning talk spots are all filled via our call for speakers and they’re a great opportunity for new speakers or new ideas.These are short ten minute sessions that take place on the main stage to help add a little variety into the day’s schedule. They were a huge success last year, so we’re excited to bring them back again for this year!

We’ll be accepting submissions until May 31st, 2013.
